Types of pvc pipe

Pvc is widely used in the pipe industry, and PVC pipes are also very popular in the market. There are also many types of PVC pipes that cause consumers to be unclear when they buy. The following is an introduction to the classification of PVC pipes.

Pvc pipe is divided into PVC water supply pipe, PVC drainage pipe, PVC threading pipe, PVC irrigation pipe.

The pvc tube material is divided by: PVC-U (unplasticized PVC), C-PVC (chlorinated PVC), PVC-O (molecular oriented PVC), and High Impact PVC (PVC-HI).

Besides sharing many of the same properties such as safety, durability, sustainability, and recyclability, each type of PVC has its own advantages for different applications.

UPVC, also known as hard PVC or PVCU, is composed of an amorphous thermoplastic resin made by the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer and certain additives (such as stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, etc.). In addition to using additives, the method of blending with other resins is also used to make it have obvious practical value. These resins are CPVC, PE, ABS, EVA, MBS, and so on. UPVC has high melt viscosity and poor fluidity. Even if the injection pressure and melt temperature are increased, the fluidity will not change much. In addition, the molding temperature of the resin is very close to the thermal decomposition temperature, and the temperature range that can be molded is very narrow, making it a difficult-to-mold material.

As a new type of pipeline, CPVC pipe has excellent corrosion resistance. In recent years, it has been widely used in steel, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, fertilizer, dye, pharmaceutical, electric power, environmental protection, and sewage treatment industries. It is a metal anticorrosive material The ideal substitute. The service temperature of CPVC pipes and fittings can reach 93-100℃, which is 30-40℃ higher than that of PVC. At the same time, it improves the chemical resistance and corrosion resistance of PVC. It can resist strong acid, strong alkali, salt, fatty acid salt, and oxidant. And halogen chemical corrosion.

As the PVC-O pipe is to stretch the originally formed PVC-U pipe axially and radially, the wall thickness of the pipe is relatively thin. Compared with the wall thickness of PVC-O and PVC-U, PVC-O water supply pipes can reduce the wall thickness by 35%-40% compared with PVC-U water supply pipes, which greatly saves materials and reduces costs.

PVC-HI stands for High Impact PVC. The PVC-HI grade is obtained by adding to PVC-U, an impact modifier that increases the resistance of the pipes to external blows.
