Now PPR pipe fittings are widely used in the domestic water supply system, usually in the way of concealed installation, in case of water leakage, maintenance is more difficult. So what kind of connection is adopted for PPR pipe to prevent water leakage?

Corresponding to different requirements, PPR pipe fittings are welded, hot-melt and threaded.

PPR pipe fittings are the most reliable with hot-melt connection, convenient operation, good air tightness and high interface strength. The pipeline is connected by hand-held butt fusion device. Before connection, dust and foreign matters on pipes and accessories shall be removed. When the red light of the machine is on and stable, align the pipe (piece) to be connected with DN < 50 hot melt depth of 1-2mm and DN < 110 hot melt depth of 2-4mm. When connecting, insert the pipe end into the heating sleeve without rotation to reach the predetermined depth. At the same time, the pipe fittings are pushed onto the heating head without rotation for heating. When the heating time is reached, the pipe and the pipe fittings are immediately removed from the heating sleeve and the heating head at the same time, and the pipes and the pipe fittings are quickly and evenly inserted into the required depth without rotation, so as to form a uniform flange at the joint.

Within the specified heating time, the newly welded joint can also be calibrated, but rotation is strictly prohibited. When heating pipes and pipe fittings, excessive heating shall be prevented to make the thickness thinner. The pipe is deformed in the pipe fittings. It is forbidden to rotate during the hot-melt intubation and correction. There shall be no open fire at the operation site. It is strictly prohibited to use open fire to bend PPR pipe fittings. When the heated pipes and pipe fittings are vertically aligned and pushed, the force shall be light to prevent the elbow from bending. After the connection is completed, the pipe and pipe fittings must be held tightly for sufficient cooling time, and the hand can be released only after cooling to a certain extent.

When the PPR pipe fittings are connected with the metal fittings, the PPR pipe fittings with metal inserts shall be used as the transition. The pipe fittings and the PPR pipe fittings shall be connected by the hot-melt socket method. When they are connected with the metal fittings or the hardware fittings of the sanitary ware, the threaded connection shall be used, and the polypropylene raw material belt shall be used as the sealing filler. If the tap is connected to the mop pool, install the internal thread elbow (internal thread) at the end of the PPR pipe fitting on it. During the pipeline installation, do not use too much force to avoid damaging the threaded fittings and causing leakage at the connection. Special pipe shear can also be used for pipe cutting: the bayonet of pipe scissor shall be adjusted to be consistent with the cut pipe diameter, and the force shall be evenly applied during rotation cutting. After cutting, the fracture shall be rounded with a matching rounding device. When the pipe is broken, the section shall be vertical to the pipe axis without burr.
